Julius Caesar and Joy...

...are the names of our two little parakeets!

We've had these two for about a month now, and they have been great pets. A lot of fun to watch, and much easier to care for than we thought they would be.

We let them have some 'free time' on the porch each evening. Here are Wendy and Vera trying to get the birds to come sit on their hands by holding out birdseed for them (think 'Beauty and the Beast' here).

After they made it successfully through their first month, we purchased a much larger cage!

Finally, a couple of new additions to our porch-garden. Wendy and Vera each picked out a plant at the market yesterday and repotted them this afternoon!
