On Our Way!

We received a phone call last Friday at 1am with news of our baby girl!
Beverly (Vera) is just about 3 months old and just BEAUTIFUL! We wish we could post her photo on our blog, but the government in Ethiopia requests that we wait until she is LEGALLY ours...so the photo will have to wait a few more weeks!
So now, just one week later, we are on our way to Ethiopia to see her! We have a lot of flying to do this week, a joyous meeting, and unfortunately a sad (albeit brief) goodbye. Here is a rundown of our week:
Monday May 28th: Depart Chengdu, Fly to Beijing, at midnight catch our flight to Dubai.
Tuesday May 29th: Arrive Dubai, brief layover, then a flight to Addis Ababa, we arrive at noon.
Wednesday May 30th: We will be meeting OUR BABY, VERA!
Thursday May 31st: More time as a family...all four of us! At the Care Center. At the end of the day we must say goodbye :(. Policy allows us two days with our baby to prep for her U.S. citizenship, then we must wait until the adoption is finalized in Ethiopian courts until we can see her again. It's going to be a hard 8 weeks apart!
Friday and Saturday, June 1&2: Spend time in Addis Ababa, see some sights, shop for little gifts for our girls.
Sunday June 3: Return flight (same as above) back to Beijing.
Monday June 4: 3:00 arrive in Beijing, 6:30 depart for Washington D.C.! Arrive D.C. around 8pm and then fly to Greensboro, NC: arriving at 11pm.

We will hopefully update the blog as soon as we get back...or at least as soon as we recover from the crazy flight schedule of June 3-4!
