Wendy's school had a special program celebrating the Expo. So each class learned a song in English and did a dance for the parents yesterday morning. Wendy was THRILLED. She loves being on stage...especially if she gets to sing, dance, and (this is the best part) wear a beautiful gold dress and pink pom-pom bracelets! There is a chinese expression that describes how she felt...' 开心死了'...which means 'happy to death' literally. Here she is. (Unfortunately there was a kid even more excited than her who ran to the front and blocked a bit of my video-ing. I was sitting in the front row so didn't have many options for getting a view of Wendy, but it turned out ok. Plus all my faithful blog followers now get to see how rat-tails are making a comeback for little boys in Shanghai).

Julianna would kill for a dress like that :) she's in a school dance rehearsal thing now, has been for a few months, getting ready for children's day.
