Tonight Geneva has learned to control the world around her a little more. She discovered that if she tosses her toy off the edge of her high chair her sisters will laugh and pick it up for her. Her Mommy and Daddy also laugh and take lots of photos and keep telling her how cute she is when she does it. Geneva thinks this is the most wonderful, fun, game ever...and she doesn't get bored with it. She kept going and going and going...until finally Mommy says 'enough' and carries her off for a little milk and then to bed!

In the meantime, Alex and Wendy were working on a little project. Vera has been sick today so went to bed around 6pm. Poor thing has a bad cough and a little fever.
We saw these puzzles when we were out for a walk today and thought the girls would enjoy trying one. It proved to be a little tougher than we thought. Alex's comment was 'well now why know why it only cost 10rmb ($1.50).'
The girls chose the mouse...although you can see the photo in the background is a groundhog and the finished product looks a bit more like a rat with kangaroo feet than a mouse.

The main issue seems to have to do with the quality of the instructions, which you can see pictured here. There are 5 steps. After punching out the pieces and sanding the rough edges, step number three basically says something like find the pieces that fit together and put them together. The lower part of the page appears to have the pieces numbered. This does not correspond to how they fit together, unfortunately. My favorite, though, was step number 5 which told us that if the pieces don't really fit together just use glue.
