Today we went Christmas Tree shopping at a flower market down the street from our apartment complex. Live trees are hard to come by here in China...unless you want a really big potted pine tree, which we have done in the past. But with three kids and a dog we decided a large potted pine in our living room is probably not the way to go this year, so we purchased our first fake tree. Alex did a great job choosing one that looked full and had soft 'needles'. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the flower market. They even got a mini-tree for their room to decorate as a treat at the end of the morning.
Here are the girls at the Poinsetta shop...each one cost less than $2.00. So we bought a bunch! If we can't have a live tree, we can at least have lots of live poinsettias to decorate our home!
Here is Geneva doing what she does best when we go out...what a sweet sleeper in the sling!

Putting together a fake tree proved slightly more time consuming than we thought. Every branch had to be pulled apart and adjusted. The girls thought it was fun...by the time it was finished we were too tired to decorate, so will save that for tomorrow!
And Geneva is once again sleeping by the Christmas trees.
Isn't the girls' little tree so cute! Just the perfect size for their little room.
