Here is a timeline of our adoption so far:
August 1, 2006: Return to China from Africa. Begin discussing seriously our plans to adopt. Research into China and Africa Adoptions begin!
August: Research and Pray.
August 28: We decide to pursue adopting from Africa!
September 1, 2006: Send in application to Children's Home Society and Family Services for Ethiopian adoption.
September 13th: Accepted by CHSFS!
October 18-20: Homestudy here in Chengdu with Megan McGinn www.homestudyinasia.com
November: Collecting Documents for Dossier. Waiting for Background checks from NC and MI to complete homestudy.
November 17th: Homestudy completed and sent off to CHSFS for any necessary revisions and for final approval.
We are hoping to have everything completed by December 1, 2006!!!
