Controlled Chaos...also known as "The Birthday Party"

Here are photos from the girls' joint birthday party. We decided to do an animal theme, since both girls love animals. It was a nice break from our usual princess pink parties...of which I'm sure there will be many more in our future.

The girls had a great time, and we managed to fit about 10 kids and parents into our little apartment. Alex saved the day with 5 really fun games for 2 year olds...all animal variations of follow the leader, head, shoulders, knees,and toes, balloon toss, etc. The kids were between the ages of 18 months and 6, so there were varying degrees of participation :). In the end, though, everyone seemed to have a great time.

Here are the girls about 5 minutes before their guests arrive. Vera was NOT happy to be taking this picture. She was very concerned at the time with being the person waiting at the door when everyone arrived.



All the little guests brought pictures of animals they had made for the girls and hung them on a clothesline in the living room!
