My Dryer Porch...Soon to be Dryer Room!

Today our landlord is having our porch enclosed. This is very exciting for us. Our porch has been a source of many problems, and just a few happy memories. Happy memories: we were able to get birds to come to our porch to eat out of our birdfeeder! Yeah! Also, it is a nice place for the girls to blow bubbles under strict supervision. The negatives about the porch: 1- the sliding doors going out to our porch don't lock. 2- Vera is VERY good at climbing, and the 6th floor seems a little dangerous to just have a high railing. It seems like such a cool place...outside, yet easy to get to...imagine how hard it is to keep a 1 1/2 year old from going out non-locking sliding doors to such a cool place ! 3- It is the only place that the dryer will fit (kitchen is too small), so we run a cord from inside, through those non-locking sliding doors, so that I can dry clothes in the dryer. 4- When I hang-dry clothes they kind of smell like 'city air', which although not terrible, isn't what I prefer my clothes to smell like. So all that to say, we are thrilled about our porch getting enclosed! Yesterday the workmen brough over the window panes, metal, glass, and some other stuff. They are saying they think they can get it all done today! Yeah! Here are some photos from our porch of the stuff and the dryer.

Here is our cute little dryer. Takes about 5-6 hours to dry a small load. Despite it's small capacity and lengthy drying time, it is a nice appliance to have!

Here is some of the 'stuff' they are going to use to enclose our porch! It will be a nice glass balconey - Yeah!
