"The New Bunny", or "What happened to Flopsy"

About 2 weeks ago I noticed a small patch of fur missing off of Flopsy Bunny's back. After some investigation and an emergency trip to a nearby veterinary clinic, we found out she had a fungal infection on his back. Well, you can imagine I was not very excited about caring for an invalid bunny. I had also read about how rabbit skin problems easily spread to humans. Therefore we decided that Flopsy would have to recover somewhere else. We paid the guy that we bought her from to take care of her (basically $2 for two weeks of care). We also bought medecine that cost three times as much as Flopsy (Flopsy=$2, medecine for bunny skin problem= $5.50). Alex is very compassionate, so we waited to see if Flopsy would get better and could join us again in our home. In the meantime (we had a sneaking suspision that the skin problem was pretty serious), we purchased a new bunny for Wendy. This time, a cute little brown bunny who she named Peter. He actually does look a lot like Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit. He has a much better temperment than Flopsy, and won't grow as big (I like that part the best). After two weeks at the "Bunny Clinic" as we called it, Flopsy still wasn't all the way better and after another trip to the vet we decided not to bring Flopsy back home. The vet helped us find a new home for Flopsy (he gave her to some kids who live in a housing area next to ours...not sure what will happen to her, but we hope that she has found a good home).
So now we are onto WJ's third animal friend and are hoping this one lasts a while...and that he doesn't grow too big.

Jenny!

Fun to read your blog and see all the photos of your little girls :) Vera is SO BIG - wow! I am anxious for Julianna and Wendy Jane to play together in TL, sure hope they are in the same childcare class!
oh yeah, congrats on braving the world of pets. We aren't there quite yet but Julianna would love a puppy. Matt says, "no way".

Has anyone heard from Peter in the last few days? I heard that Canadians like the taste of rabbit.
